Privacy Policy
W3park Technology built Jotlist - Notes & Todo Lists as a notes, checklist, and task organization application. Privacy is the main quality of this app: your notes and todo data stay on your device, and the developer cannot read or access your personal content.
Information We Collect
Jotlist does not require you to create an account with W3park Technology and does not collect personal information such as your name, phone number, address, or contacts. W3park Technology does not operate any server that receives your data. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device information directly; see Advertising below.
Notes, Todo Lists, Labels, and Reminders
The notes, todo items, labels, attached photos, checklist status, due dates, reminder times, archive state, trash state, and app settings you create are stored locally on your device. This information is used only to provide app features such as organizing notes, filtering lists, showing counts, and displaying upcoming or overdue items.
Local App Data
Jotlist may store app data locally on your device, including:
- Notes and mixed notes
- Todo lists and checklist rows
- Labels and label links
- Photos you attach to notes (resized copies you pick from your gallery; the originals are not changed)
- Due dates and reminder times
- Archive and trash information
- Backup settings and app preferences
This data is stored on your device to make the app work. It is not automatically sent to W3park Technology servers.
Optional Cloud Backup
If you choose to connect Dropbox or Google Drive, Jotlist can create backup files in your own cloud account. These backup files may include your notes, todo lists, labels, photos you attach to notes, due dates, reminders, archive data, trash data, and settings needed to restore the app.
Cloud backup is optional. When you use it, you are backing up to your own Dropbox or Google Drive account. W3park Technology does not receive, store, sell, or review the contents of your backup files. Dropbox and Google Drive handle sign-in and cloud file storage according to their own privacy policies and account settings.
When you restore a backup, Jotlist downloads the backup file from your cloud account to your device and either merges it with, or replaces, the notes on your device, as you choose. Before a restore, Jotlist keeps a copy of your current notes on your device.
Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party services only to provide selected features, including Dropbox for Dropbox backup and Google Drive/Google Sign-In for Google Drive backup. These services are used only when you choose to connect them. Backup files are transferred directly between your device and your cloud provider over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Dropbox
If you connect Dropbox, Jotlist requests access only to its own app folder (Apps/Jotlist Backup) in your Dropbox. It cannot see or change any other files in your Dropbox. Jotlist uses this access only to create, list, download, and delete its own backup files. The sign-in token Dropbox provides is stored only on your device.
Google Drive and Google user data
If you connect Google Drive, Jotlist requests:
- Your Google account email address, used only to show which account is connected on the Backups screen. It is stored only on your device.
- Access to files Jotlist creates in your Google Drive (the
drive.filepermission). Jotlist uses this only to create a "Jotlist Backups" folder and to create, list, download, and delete its own backup files there. It cannot see or change any other files in your Google Drive.
Jotlist does not store Google user data on any server, does not share or transfer it to anyone, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. People at W3park Technology cannot read it.
Jotlist's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Advertising
Jotlist shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads are how the app is kept free. Ads never have access to your notes, todo lists, labels, photos, or backups.
To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app collects some information directly and sends it to Google, including:
- Your device's advertising ID, or other device identifiers where the advertising ID is not available
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Information about your device and the app (for example device model, operating system, app version)
- Ad interactions, such as ads shown and ads tapped, and diagnostic information about ad performance
Google uses this information to deliver, personalize (where permitted), and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. W3park Technology does not receive this information about you personally.
Consent. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), Jotlist asks for your consent before ads use your data, using Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in Jotlist under Settings > Privacy choices for ads.
Jotlist does not contain other analytics or tracking tools, and does not collect usage statistics or crash reports of its own.
Data Sharing
W3park Technology does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. The app does not upload your notes or todo data to W3park Technology servers. The only data that leaves your device without you choosing a backup is the advertising information described above, which the Google Mobile Ads SDK sends to Google.
Your Choices
You can create, edit, archive, trash, restore, and permanently delete notes inside the app. You can disconnect Dropbox or Google Drive backup in the app under Settings > Backup & restore; disconnecting also revokes the app's access. You can also remove Jotlist's access at any time from your Google Account permissions or your Dropbox connected apps settings.
For ads, you can change your consent choice in Jotlist under Settings > Privacy choices for ads (shown where required), reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Google > Ads), and manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
You can delete individual backups inside the app, or delete the backup folder directly in your Dropbox or Google Drive. Backups already in your cloud account are not deleted when you disconnect or uninstall the app. You can remove app data on your device by clearing the app storage or uninstalling the app.
Data Security
Jotlist is designed to keep your notes and todo data on your device unless you choose to use cloud backup. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please keep your device and cloud accounts protected.
Children's Privacy
Jotlist is not directed to children, and ads in the app are not intended for children. Jotlist is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can help address the issue.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
