App Lock by W3Park Technologies

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using App Lock ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of App Lock, regardless of how the App was obtained. W3Park Technologies reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Description of the App

App Lock is an Android application that allows users to protect selected apps on their device using a PIN, pattern, or device authentication. Features include:

Locking individual apps with a PIN or pattern
Auto-lock timeout settings
Optional device biometric / screen-lock authentication
Lock screen theme customisation
Optional uninstall protection via Device Administrator
Launcher icon disguise for added privacy

The App is free to use and is supported by advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the App, you agree to the display of ads as part of the free service.

3. Advertising

App Lock displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google may use your device's advertising ID and other non-personal signals to serve relevant ads. W3Park Technologies does not receive or control the data collected by AdMob.

Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy . You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device.

4. Permitted Use

You may use App Lock for personal, lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

Use the App to gain unauthorised access to another person's device or apps
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
Use the App in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
Circumvent or disable any security or protection feature of the App
Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App
Use ad-blocking tools or techniques to suppress the App's advertisements

5. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your PIN, pattern, and device credentials. If you forget your PIN or pattern, App Lock cannot recover it — the credential is stored only as a cryptographic verifier on your device and is not accessible to W3Park Technologies.

You are also responsible for disabling Device Administrator access before uninstalling the App. Failure to do so may prevent normal uninstallation. Instructions for removing Device Administrator access are available within the App.

⚠️ Forgotten credentials: W3Park Technologies has no way to recover or reset your PIN or pattern. Keep your credentials somewhere safe. If you are locked out, you may need to clear the App's data from Android Settings or perform a device reset.

6. Intellectual Property

App Lock, its design, code, graphics, and all related materials are the intellectual property of W3Park Technologies. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on your personal Android device in accordance with these Terms.

7. Privacy

Your use of App Lock is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. App Lock does not collect or transmit your personal data. All app data is processed locally on your device. Data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own policies.

8. No Warranty

App Lock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. W3Park Technologies does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. The App is designed as a convenience layer — it is not a substitute for your device's built-in security features.

W3Park Technologies makes no guarantee that App Lock will prevent access to protected apps under all circumstances, including but not limited to device exploits, Android system updates, or factory resets.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, W3Park Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use App Lock. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of access to protected apps, or any unauthorised access to your device.

W3Park Technologies' total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

10. Termination

You may stop using App Lock at any time by uninstalling it from your device. W3Park Technologies reserves the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without prior notice.

11. Changes to These Terms

W3Park Technologies may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If you continue to use the App after revised Terms are posted, you accept the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of App Lock shall be resolved in the jurisdiction where W3Park Technologies operates.
